Deleting comments

I feel IFunny hasn't addressed there issue that some comments are really racist/hurtful to some of there users. I feel that if a comment receives more than -40 thumbs down they should get banned if they do this numerous times. (I mean if they go into the negatives and continue to get thumbs downed)

They should just be deleted. Not banned, because it could be abused. But yeah, if a comment has 40 dislikes, it should be gone. Same with a picture!

Yeah I think deleting comments would be very helpful and auto remove at -40

It may also be helpful to give a user the ability to delete their own comment. Maybe in case you said something you regret and wish to take it back, or to correct a spelling error.

I think all of these are good ideas, and maybe they should add an 'edit comment' button so you don't have to completely erase what you said for a simple spelling error.

I agree on getting the comment removed. But not as harsh as to get them banned, because those stupid "dislike trolls" are ass holes

Yeah i didn't mean PERMANENTLY banned i meant not being able to comment for sometime depending on the amount of downotes

iFunny really needs to at least let users be able to delete their own comments or edit them, I agree with this post.

Flaws with everything, really, hard to do anything for the staff.

If they let people edit comments, they could get top comment ... then edit the post advertising their KiK or something.

If they deleted comments after 40 dislikes, then TONS of innocent people would be banned (Just look at the bottom of a feature.)

I really doubt if someone got top comment, they'd wanna change it. Or at least that's my opinion. But hey, the iFunny people are weird. I think if they were to change it, people would unlike it for sure and it would go back into the bottom comments

People would for sure - Get top comment, suddenly have tons of people viewing your comment. They could change it to anything... See where this could go wrong?

Plus, if I like a comment, I liked the comment - Not what the person wants to change it to. Editing comments would be pretty bad.

True... Maybe deleting comments would be better.
